Virginia Tech and Prayer

This is my first post at my new blog.

All of my thoughts and prayers have been on the horrible massacre at Virginia Tech. There is nothing that one can say other than this truly sucks. I can’t imagine what family and friends are going through and I have no special insight that can cause this event to make sense. All I can and will do is continue to pray.

Our nation is also going through it. When a tragedy like this occurs it affects us all. Our nation is both in mourning and in prayer. How said that it takes tragedies like this to unite us.

On another result…
Today it was pointed out to me that there is an awful lot of praying and other God stuff being done at Virginia Tech. and no word from the ACLU or other anti-religion groups. Isn’t that amazing. On most days they would be screaming and filing lawsuits with all the praying that has been taking place. I guess they know that it would be bad press so they won’t publicly speak what they really believe. However, you can be sure that they will soon be shouting again about eliminating God and prayer from any public forum. Think of what the aftermath would have looked like without the comfort of public prayer. Think of the comfort that would have been unavailable to the students and families.
